We’ve been very busy over at Nestio HQ working on some heavily requested features. We’re excited to have integrated Facebook Connect into our signup form and collaboration features. Now it’s super easy to not only sign up with one click, but to also invite roommates or friends to share your search. Just enter the name of your roommate or friend to invite them right away via Facebook. Super simple.
We’re also psyched to introduce sorting for all your listings. To date, all listings have been sorted in reverse chronological order. Now you have the choice to sort them by price, neighborhood, number of bedrooms, and favorites! We’ve heard this one get requested a lot, so we’re really happy to get it out there.

It’s a very happy Monday at Nestio as we have some awesome news to share with all of you. Two weeks ago we went to the Inman Real Estate Connect 2011 conference in San Francisco. It’s one of the biggest and best real estate conferences focused on technology, and this was our first time attending! We made a lot of new friends and had a chance to introduce Nestio to a room full of industry players.
We snagged a cozy little table in ‘Start-up Alley’, sitting alongside some really cool companies in the space attacking unique problems. Caren was invited to speak on a panel called ‘New Kids on the Block’ that highlighted real estate startups that are innovating the industry through technology. Lucky for us, she spoke on the first day of the conference which resulted in some serious interest at our table. The reception has been awesome and it really motivated us to work faster and keep building.
A big thanks to Brad Inman, Chris Smith and the rest of the folks at Inman for hosting the conference and doing an amazing job of introducing trends to the audience and explaining why they’re important. These guys are doing an incredible job of keeping the real estate industry informed, and as a new player in the game, their time and dedication is beyond appreciated!
Overall, Real Estate Connect exceeded our expectations far and wide. There was even a cover band comprised of realtors that brought the house DOWN (Yes, they played “Shout” by The Isley Brothers.) We’re super excited to get involved when it comes to New York (our backyard!) in January 2012.
Oh and P.S. we totally grabbed some In-N-Out burgers before we caught our return flights to NY!
We took a break this week from watching ‘Jaws comes home’, ‘Summer of the Shark’, ‘Ultimate Air Jaws’, and ‘When Fish Attack 3’ to push out a few of our most requested features (which says a lot, we really love sharks). Let’s recap.

Updated listing toolbar
We tweaked the toolbar on every listing detail page to make it easier to navigate all your listings. You’ll also notice a new heart button! That brings us to… -
Favoriting
You probably have a few listings that are your favorite, now you can show them the love they deserve. You can favorite listings from the list view and the detail page. -
Labels
Tons of users were trying to mark the status of listings, so we built the first version of listing labels! You can label them as Contacted, Scheduled (with date and time), or Viewed. Perfect when you are sharing with roommates!
4) Account Settings We’ve built out 300% more account options for you guys too! Edit your display name, email, and passwords by clicking your account in the top right. And no, you can’t have a profile picture.
